Monday, February 23, 2015 – On Monday, February 23, 2015 members of the Mantua Township Fire District were dispatched into Woolwich Township to assist with providing water for a 2 alarm house fire that they were battling.
Tender 2214 responded immediately with a crew of two followed by Utility 2217 with a crew of three personnel. Upon arrival crews assisted with providing approximately 9000 gallons of water to assist crews on scene.
While on scene, the company was also dispatched into Harrison Township to handle an activated fire alarm, while they too were assisting in Woolwich Township. Engine company 2213 responded with a crew of 6 personnel to the alarm. Crews operated in freezing temperatures all evening with no fire fighter injuries reported.
