On April 21, 2019 at 1800 hours members of the Mantua Township Fire District and Pitman Fire Company No. 1 were dispatched to 1233 Tristram Circle for a reported dwelling fire. Captain 2202 arrived on scene and reported one unit of a multifamily condominium with smoke showing. Squad Company 2211 responded in less than 30 seconds with five personnel.
Crews arrived on scene and deployed a single 1 3/4″ hand line to attack a working fire inside of the condo. A water supply was obtained by Engine Company 2212, which responded with four personnel. Due to a quick response, the fire was contained to the room of origin and saved the remaining properties from further fire exposure.
Mantua Firefighters performed salvage and overhaul limiting damage to the condo originally on fire. Once the fire was placed under control, the scene was turned over to Mantua Township Fire Marshal’s Officer for investigation. The fire remains under investigation at this time. There were no injuries reported and only one family was displaced.
