Friday, February 13, 2015 – On Friday February 13, 2015 members of the Mantua Township Fire District were dispatched to 1057 Tristram Circle to assist Gloucester County EMS with a Traumatic Injury. EMS was on scene reporting a severely injured male on the second floor loft on a second floor condominium.
Squad Company 2218 responded immediately with a crew of four personnel. Upon arrival crews located a male with a severe hip injury stuck in tight quarters on the second floor loft. Crews assisted EMS with securing the male on a long board and in a stokes basket with lashing. The male was then lowered over the wall and down a 14 foot ground ladder to the ground floor, where he was turned over to Gloucester County EMS for transport to local hospital.
While on scene, the company also responded to a reported dwelling fire at 58 Spring Hill Road. Crews investigated the interior and found there was an issue with the stove, which was secured and the residence was naturally ventilated.
